GMM History

GMM was founded in 1974 by Mr. Kozhaya Nakad, a true pioneer in Lebanon’s stainless steel manufacturing sector. At that time, stainless steel manufacturing was almost nonexistent in the country — Stainless steel welding machine were rarely available in Lebanon. Driven by vision and determination, Mr. Nakad introduced this technology to Lebanon and laid the foundation for what would become a regional industrial leader.

From the outset, GMM gained recognition among food and beverage manufacturers in Lebanon, who relied on the company for both maintenance and custom-built stainless steel equipment. To expand his expertise, Mr. Nakad regularly attended international exhibitions, staying ahead of global innovations. This forward-thinking approach allowed GMM to grow rapidly, securing its first major international investment in 1978 with Pepsi Cola in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Over the decades, GMM has continued to expand its operations and expertise. Today, the company employs around 50 skilled professionals and is led by a five-member Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Mr. Tony Kozhaya Nakad. With more than 50 years of hands-on experience and continuous global exposure, Mr. Tony Nakad has driven the company’s sustained growth, blending technical excellence with strategic leadership.

What sets GMM apart is its uncompromising commitment to quality. All metals, electrical components, and pneumatic parts are sourced exclusively from Europe, ensuring durability, reliability, and longer machine lifecycles with minimal maintenance needs. Supported by a dedicated maintenance team, GMM guarantees swift after-sales service and readily available spare parts.

Today, 75% of GMM’s production is exported to Africa, the Gulf countries, and Russia, with additional collaborations extending to European, Canadian, and American firms. Our flagship expertise lies in manufacturing complete stainless steel production lines and tanks, serving industries ranging from beverages and food to cosmetics, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

Our factory in Roumieh, Lebanon, stands as a hub of innovation and precision engineering, reinforcing our role as the first stainless steel equipment manufacturer in Lebanon and a trusted partner to industries worldwide.
